Our tour inclusions vary slightly by itinerary, but in general, your tour price includes accommodations, private transportation, a professional tour leade, local expert guides, and the activities and meals listed in the itinerary. Some tours also include special cultural experiences, such as a meal with a local family or tea with nomads. Airfare, travel insurance, and any items not specifically listed in the itinerary or noted in the itinerary as 'optional' are typically not included. We believe in being transparent, so each itinerary clearly outlines what is and isn’t included before you book.
We carefully select accommodations that are comfortable, welcoming, and show Morocco's variety of lodging styles. Depending on the itinerary, that may include beautiful riads, boutique hotels, desert camps, and hand-picked properties that reflect the spirit of Morocco while still offering the comfort travelers expect. We prioritize cleanliness, hospitality, location, and overall guest experience—not just a star rating. Our goal is to make sure your accommodations feel like an enjoyable part of the journey, not just a place to sleep.
ATMs are easy to find throughout Morocco, and credit cards are widely accepted. That said, cash is still best for smaller vendors, souks, and local cafés, so we recommend carrying some dirhams with you each day for small purchases. While you can exchange cash, the best exchange rates are often at ATMs as long as you decline the conversion to your home-country currency and choose the local currency conversion instead.
Because we begin securing hotels, transportation, guides, and other trip arrangements well in advance of your departure, our cancellation policy follows a sliding refund schedule based on how close to departure you cancel. In general, the earlier you cancel, the more of your trip cost is refundable.
A deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Deposits are nonrefundable, but they may be applied to a future Odyssey Morocco trip if you need to cancel.
Our standard cancellation policy is:
91+ days before departure: refund of all payments made, less your deposit
61–90 days before departure: 50% refund of payments
31–60 days before departure: 25% refund of payments
30 days or less before departure: nonrefundable
Travel insurance is required for all trips and can help protect your investment in the event of illness, emergency, or other unexpected disruptions that may force you to cancel.
We offer both private and group tours. Private tours can be customized by length, interests, and preferences. Please contact us to begin planning a custom tour.
Yes. We require all travelers to carry travel insurance for their trip. We want our guests to be protected in the event of an unexpected medical issue, emergency while on tour, or if they need to cancel close to departure for a covered reason. Travel insurance can also provide helpful coverage for delays, lost luggage, and other travel disruptions, giving you added peace of mind before and during your trip.
Our tours are priced at double occupancy accommodations, but we can match you up with a roommate of the same gender. If you prefer a room to yourself, there will be a supplemental price of approximately 20% depending on the tour.
We recommend packing comfortable walking shoes, lightweight layers, and clothing that works for both warm days and cooler evenings. Morocco’s weather can vary quite a bit depending on location.
