To get the sound of the capybara, the sound engineer had to travel to the zoo and tickle the capybara
The cat is a solitary animal, but when her home is devastated by a great flood, she finds refuge on a ship inhabited by different species and has to bond with them despite their differences. The team was very adamant about getting "votes" to do real animals, so they recorded real animals for the movie. However, the actual capybara sounds did not match the personality the capybara character would have, so they used a baby camel for the sound instead.
"Flow / Stream" is something truly unique
I’ve never seen anything like it before, either in story or storytelling style. The 3D animation resonates deeply – it seems complete and at the same time as if something is deliberately missing, which gives it a special charm. The film’s central idea—the inevitable “water world”—is haunting.
An unstoppable end that comes regardless of our unbelief
Water comes and fills every corner, despite all our hopes and doubts. For me, this film was like a dream in which my accumulated memories came to life. Echoes of What Dreams May Come, Avatar, Waterworld and Life of Pi seemed to coexist in it.
Certain moments in the film left me frozen, open-mouthed, waiting for the denouement
It is a world where animals are both anthropomorphic and raw in their true forms. This isn’t just a movie – it’s a journey through a surreal and subconscious realm. Scenes like birds breaking the wings of those who disagree, helpers distracted by trivial activities and friends who walk beside you without expecting anything in return – these moments reflect the essence of life."Flow / Straume" is an emotional and visual odyssey that is difficult to describe in words.
It’s something you have to see and experience to truly understand
