We aim to provide our guests with excellent service tailored to their price point and interests. We also facilitate authentic cultural interactions including options to eat in homes and support women-based initiatives to help grow local economies.
Mohamed Ourhou
Founder, Owner
Odyssey Morocco was founded by Mohamed Ourhou, a Todra Valley native with 10+ years of experience planning and leading premium tours throughout Morocco including bespoke itineraries in the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara. When he’s not working on Odyssey Morocco, Mohamed is a Tour Leader with well-regarded, global provider Intrepid Travel.
One of Mohamed’s most memorable trips was trekking 522 km through the Atlas and Sahara with an author who wrote a young adult adventure novel based on their travels. In his early years as a guide, he summitted Toubkal mountain, the second highest peak in Africa, over 50 times after completing Morocco’s extensive 2-year mountain guide training.
Mohamed is an indigenous Amazigh (Berber) who is proud to share his culture and country and brings a unique perspective to those wanting to learn more about Morocco’s extensive history He is fluent in French, English, Arabic, and Amazigh. He and his team look forward to helping you discover Morocco!
