Odyssey Morocco specializes in custom tours throughout Morocco. Based in Marrakesh, Odyssey Morocco helps guests discover the rich history, beautiful cultures, and extensive diversity of Morocco and its people while touring its beautiful landscapes, towns, and villages.
We aim to provide our guests with excellent service tailored to their price point and interests. We also facilitate authentic cultural interactions including options to eat in homes and support women-based initiatives to help grow local economies.
Mohamed Ourhou
Founder, Owner
Odyssey Morocco was founded by Mohamed Ourhou, a Todra Valley native with 10+ years of experience planning and leading premium tours throughout Morocco including bespoke itineraries in the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara. When he’s not working on Odyssey Morocco, Mohamed is a Tour Leader with well-regarded, global provider Intrepid Travel.
One of Mohamed’s most memorable trips was trekking 522 km through the Atlas and Sahara with an author who wrote a young adult adventure novel based on their travels. In his early years as a guide, he summitted Toubkal mountain, the second highest peak in Africa, over 50 times after completing Morocco’s extensive 2-year mountain guide training.
Mohamed is an indigenous Amazigh (Berber) who is proud to share his culture and country and brings a unique perspective to those wanting to learn more about Morocco’s extensive history He is fluent in French, English, Arabic, and Amazigh. He and his team look forward to helping you discover Morocco!
Kristina Lowe
Business Partner
Kristina Lowe manages communications and marketing for Odyssey Morocco. After having Morocco on her bucket list for years, Kristina first visited the country in early 2023 and loved it so much that she returned later that year to spend more time exploring new areas and volunteering with a women’s organization.
Odyssey Morocco is a passion project for Kristina. As a tourist on one of Mohamed’s tours, Kristina was impressed with his ability to manage extensive logistics while providing the highest levels of hospitality. After discovering that clients were finding Odyssey Morocco purely based on reputation and word-of-mouth, she offered to help build an online presence and formalize communications.
When not exploring the world, Kristina is a VP of Operations and Marketing for a financial data company, and she resides in Southern California. She is a Native Hawaiian who enjoys learning about other indigenous cultures and has traveled extensively through Central and South America and Western Europe.
