Welcome and Tour Briefing
Fly into Casablanca where you'll be greeted by an Odyssey Morocco representative who will provide private transportation from the airport to your hotel. We can also accommodate flights into Rabat.
That evening, you’ll meet your tour leader who will brief you on what to expect on your adventure together. Then, you’ll end the day with a delicious, traditional Moroccan dinner.

The Coastal Cities of North Morocco
You’ll start the day with a morning tour of the beautiful Hassan II mosque next to the Atlantic Ocean in Casablanca. This impressive mosque is the only one in Morocco that allows non-Muslim visitors and accommodates up to 25,000 worshippers inside and 80,000 outside!
Next, you’ll drive to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, where you’ll visit the Udaya Kasbah, Hassan Tower, and the mausoleum of Mohamed V.
You’ll then drive to Tangier, the historic coastal gateway between North Africa and Europe on the Strait of Gibraltar. You'll end the day visiting the historic Tangier medina and enjoying the beautiful ocean views from Africa to Europe.

From the Ocean to the Blue Pearl
After breakfast and more sightseeing at Cap Spartel and Hercules Cave, you’ll leave Tangier then drive Chefchaouen.
Nestled in the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is known as the Blue Pearl of Morocco and is renowned for its picturesque blue medina. Explore the medina with your guide, then walk to the Spanish mosque to enjoy the sunset and panoramic views overlooking this special place.

A Morning in the Blue City then on to Roman Ruins
Spend the morning taking in the beauty of Chefchaouen where every turn presents a new photo opportunity.
Later, you'll tour Volubulis, home of incredibly well preserved Roman ruins, then you'll making your way to Fes, the cultural and spiritual center of Morocco.
That night, you’ll accompany your guide to dinner in the historic Fes medina.

The Center of Scholarship and Culture
Once the capital of Morocco, Fes has been known for centuries for scholarship and trading. With your guide, you’ll tour the winding Fes medina known for having over 10,000 streets and passages. In the medina, you’ll visit the oldest university in Morocco, the royal palace, the pottery village, Al-Attarine Medrasa Koranic school, and the famed Chouara tannery.
Visit this artisanal cooperative to see how master craftsman and their pupils create the famous tilework and pottery Morocco is known for.
Experience the intricate tilework and carving of the Al-Attarine Medrasa. Although no longer in use as a Koranic school, scholars studied here from the 13th century onward.
No visit to Fes is complete without seeing the famed Chouara Tanneries which have been in operation since the 13th century and still use traditional methods and goods for softening and dyeing leather.

Journeying Toward the Desert
Today, you’ll leave the high energy of Fes and journey to Merzouga, the gateway of the Sahara. Primarily a driving day, relax and enjoy the scenery of both the Mid-Atlas and High Atlas Mountains with stops for coffee and lunch.

Under the Stars in the Sahara
You’ll get your first taste of the incredible Sahara desert with a 4-wheel drive through the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes.
Lunch will be in Khemliya village where you’ll be serenaded with traditional Gnaoua music, then you’ll head further into the dunes for a sunset camel ride to your camp.
A night in the Sahara is often the highlight of people’s trips, and you can enjoy the stars by campfire after a delicious dinner at your comfortable camp.

Sand Dunes and Stone Canyons
Sunrise over the Sahara is just as impressive as sunset, so you’ll want to wake up early to see how the desert lights up. After breakfast, you’ll ride back to your vehicle via camel or 4x4, whichever you prefer.
On your drive today, you’ll stop to view a centuries-old, ingenious solution for transporting water across Morocco - underground irrigation canals. And, that afternoon, you’ll experience the stunning cliffs of Todra Canyon. Your guide will accompany you on a walk along the riverside at the base of Todra Gorge.

Moroccan Hollywood
Movie buff? Today's stunning sites will make you feel like you're on a movie set...because they have been the backdrop for several movies including Gladiator and its sequel.
You'll begin the day with a drive through Dades Valley before visiting the incredibly well preserved Kasbah Amridel in Skoura. After Skoura, you’ll drive to Ouarzazate, also known as the “Moroccan Hollywood,” where your guide can arrange for an optional studio tour.
Later in the afternoon, you’ll reach the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, another UNESCO world heritage site. Your guide will lead you through the Ksar to the pinnacle of the village and will also take you to visit a women’s cooperative if you’re interested in learning about or purchasing an authentic Moroccan rug.

Where Ancient Meets Modern
After a night near Ait Ben Haddou, you’ll make your way to the bustling city of Marrakech, a favorite destination for both Moroccans and international visitors. In Marrakech, you’ll visit the exotic and historic Djemaa El Fna square and the beautiful Bahia Palace. Your guide will also orient you to the medina where you may want to explore more the next day. End the day on a rooftop cafe where you can watch the sun set behind the famous 12the century Koutoubia Mosque tower.

Choose Your Adventure
You’ll have a free day to explore Marrakech, and your guide will be happy to make suggestions on activities you might enjoy including shopping, historic sites within the medina, museums and gardens.
Some of our favorites are the Madrasa Ben Yousef, known for it's exquisite architecture, Dar El Bacha museum with its picturesque columns, and the House of Photography where you'll see historic photos of many of the places you've visited.
Optional activities that your guide can help arrange include a tagine cooking class, hot air balloon ride, or a relaxing hamam.
In the evening, you'll enjoy a final-night celebration dinner with your guide.
